- Bites
Unfamiliar bites can be a giveaway that bed bugs may be infesting your home. Did you wake up with bites or marks you didn’t have when you went to sleep? Since bedbugs are most active at night, bedbugs may be present if you’re waking up with itchy or irritating welts.
- Location
The location of your bite may be a clue that you’ve got a bedbug infestation. Bedbugs bite in areas with exposed skin. Look for bites on places like your arms or your neck.
- Color
Next, look at the color of the bites. Bedbug bites have red spots in the center. You may also notice dried blood near the bites and on your sheets.
